As I approach a second wedding event at Savor, I want to acknowledge James Dutton.

I have immense appreciation for James. He is upbeat and positive with couples, reassuring and accommodating to them, their families, and me as a coordinator doing double duty as officiant. The fact that both weddings have been for the children of close friends adds pressure to make everything perfect. My previous experience with James and your Savor team reassures me that everything will be handled well.

I have coordinated many corporate and wedding events over the years, so I have a good feel for how many fires may need to be handled going into event day. The first experience at Savor was so positive I encouraged my current bride and her family to look at Savor in addition to the venue they had in mind. I appreciate the level of flexibility that is given to the family, and James absolutely goes above and beyond to meet the requests that make their day perfect. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and the way he makes couples feel special are exquisite and appreciated. I know there is a team of folks involved and ownership that empowers and I appreciate all.

"We had a corporate event at Savor at the River House with over 100 attendees.  From the initial call to reserve the space until the last guest left for the evening we received white glove treatment. The menu options for our event were not only plentiful but delicious. The service our attendees received during our event was top notch! "Last October my wife and I hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for my son and his fiancée at the Savor River House and the food, service and river views were all excellent. We were a bit nervous planning for this event since we live seven hours away from Louisville but working with James was a pleasure. That night their staff led by Banquet Manager; Angie provided great customer service in a very relaxed atmosphere that created a special memory for the wedding couple. I would highly recommend the Savor River House for any special occasion. Thank you, James, we will return to the Savor River House soon!"

"Savor at River House was an absolutely perfect venue for our October wedding reception. It was very important to us that we have a memorable experience for our guests (with food being a top priority), especially as so many were traveling to Louisville for our special day. The food was outstanding! Still to this day we receive compliments from our guests on the meal and service. James was very accommodating to our schedule as we were planning this from five hours away. He quickly answered all of our questions and worked with the chef and banquet team to make sure all of our needs were met - it made it feel truly like our special day and not just another banquet event. James also offered his expertise during our tasting. We thought for sure we had our menu picked out but ordering for such a large group can be intimidating and I started to doubt we were making the right menu choice. He offered up another meal option we hadn't considered and it ended up being delicious - cooked perfectly, very flavorful and unique. We heard from several guests that it was the best wedding meal they have ever had! Besides the food, the service was phenomenal from everyone working that day. Bar service moved quickly for our guests, the meal was served on time and the room was set up exactly as planned. I loved that we had the ballroom, outside deck, the bridal suite, and private room for Sean and I to sneak off for a quick moment alone for hors d'oeuvres. I am very particular on decor, but the style of the venue was very classy. We loved the chandeliers, neutral flooring and romantic twinkle lights outside. It truly is a venue that has everything you'd need. I had absolute trust in James and his team going into our wedding day and can't thank them enough!

We can’t say thank you enough to the entire staff at Savor at River House for the fabulous wedding party hosted there this past September for our son and daughter in law!  

From the event planner’s attention to detail and organization, to all of the wait staff who went out of their way to answer questions, promptly serve and assist, to the kitchen staff who prepared delicious hot courses (six I believe) to the event manager personally cutting, garnishing and serving the dessert cake, it was a memorable night. One to remember.

The venue with the river view and the roaring bonfire that they assisted with was the final finishing touch with the wrapped blankets and s’mores gift bags (we gifted to our guests) along with served cocktails fireside was absolutely perfect. Savor is a hidden gem, one not to overlook in planning your next event."

"Words can not express our thanks to the management and staff at Savor for the exquisite job they did for our daughter and son in law’s recent wedding.

We were so impressed from the very beginning, with James Dutton, the Sales Manager, who was always timely in his replies to my many emails and questions.

The bride and groom originally planned for the wedding to be on the lawn at Savor, however the weather made us change to “plan B”, which the staff very easily accommodated. They were certain to set up seating as we specified and made the wedding ceremony just as beautiful as if it were outside, over looking the river through the floor to ceiling glass windows.

The event manager, Angie, was amazing. She made the evening magic right from the beginning for the bride as we were getting ready in their beautiful bridal room, to the set up of the reception room, to the placement of the cake on the special table. The wait staff were also exceptional. They made everyone feel as if they had a personal waiter. I received many comments from our guests that the food was delicious.

"My birthday party was spectacular. Amela said the planning was easy and you and your staff were very accommodating. The staff at the event catered to every request. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and readily available. Everyone's glass was kept full. Dinner was prompt and hot and delicious despite the large size of the party. We will definitely use the Riverhouse again for future events."

You were wonderful and attentive to work with, the dining space was beautiful!!!, even the cicadas decided to leave!, the staff was so pleasant and so efficient, the food was outstanding!! (everyone commented on how good dinner was), Angie was terrific and on top of everything!, the video worked great!, Everything was packed up by the time we all said our 'goodnight's' so we could leave in a timely fashion.....I'm sure I'm forgetting something but suffice it to say, everyone walked away saying it the best rehearsal dinner they had ever been to! "I wanted to let you and your staff know how pleased I was with the Rehearsal dinner you hosted at Riverhouse. The room was absolutely beautiful and everything was set up exactly how I had requested. The food was unbelievable. All of it cooked to perfection. I can’t say enough about the wait staff. They were so attentive to everyone’s needs. I have never had a staff that was constantly making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Having access to the balcony for after dinner drinks was a plus. We enjoyed it thoroughly. "The food is exquisite and such a variety. The seafood is fresh and some of the vegetables appear to be locally grown. Many members of our family like okra so you usually have it on the menu or if not, find it somewhere. The desserts are to “die for” and usually we take them home as an after dinner treat. We can’t wait to return to the River House."

"I had my son’s rehearsal dinner at River House back in April of 2018. It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening. The staff was so friendly and very attentive. I was able to get in there early to put flower vases together and prepare the TV for a video that I had done for the bride and groom. We were also able to use the private patio, and it was a lovely night. The food was delicious and the servers did a fantastic job of taking care of everyone. I can’t stress what a lovely evening it was. I would definitely have it there again."
